On June 16th 2020 Knowlex, in collaboration with NHS England and NHS Improvement, Knowlex are holding their 3rd International Sepsis conference.
The high profile international conference, which will take place on Tuesday 16th June at The National Conference Centre in Birmingham, UK will feature leading speakers who are experts on Sepsis including Matt Inada Kim, National Sepsis Lead, NHS England, Kenny Ajayi, Programme Director, Patient Safety and Sepsis at Imperial College Health Partners and Ron Daniels, Chief Executive, UK Sepsis Trust who will be looking at, amongst other topics, how reducing the number of infections can reduce the number of Sepsis cases and how to better identify patients with Sepsis in order to treat them before it is too late.
Children are most at risk from Sepsis with the report stating that 4 in 10 cases of Sepsis are in children under the age of five therefore the topic of Sepsis in children will also be addressed at the conference by international speaker and renowned author Dr Emma Lim, Consultant Paediatric and Paediatric Sepsis Lead at Great Northern Children’s Hospital.
We will also be looking at how early treatment with antibiotics or anti-virals to clear an infection can make a massive difference to reducing deaths from Sepsis.
The aim of this international conference is to bring together global organisations in order to disseminate information that will help reduce the unacceptable number of Sepsis cases worldwide.
